Safety Rules

Before using any 3D printer, it is necessary to learn how to safely use the machine.
3D PRINTER SAFETY RULES
- 3D printers are tools; users should have basic knowledge of how one works before using one.

- Find the eye wash station and fire extinguisher in the MakerSpace Room. Familiarize yourself with how to use these.
- Handle a 3D printer with care to protect the sensitive components that are part of the machine.
- Keep hands away from all moving parts when in operation.
- Do not touch the filament extruder, as it may be hot.
- Do not touch filament that has just come out of the extruder: it WILL be hot.
- Tell a staff member if any part of the 3D printer looks damaged.
